The Adventures of Frida Vochida
A Coloring Book About a Much Loved Mexican Vocho
1: Frida Meets New Friends Everywhere – April 28, 2020
2: Frida Discovers Street Art – May 25, 2020

One of Frida’s less healthy friends waiting for their next forever home.
Join Frida Vochida as she explores Oaxaca, Mexico with her new forever family. Frida shares historic places she has visited, and introduces you to new vocho friends she meets along the way.
In Frida Meets New Friends Everywhere, Frida’s new dad turns original photographs into coloring pages for you to create your own iconic Mexican scenes. Trust us, your creation cannot be any crazier than the real thing here.
With Amazon, you receive a Kindle Direct Publishing high quality coloring book that you can touch, smell, maybe accidently draw blood with.
With the E-Book, you receive an e-book of ready to print .pdf files. Additionally, you will recieve extra full(er) sized coloring page images of all of the included vochos.
No matter which path you take, you gain access to companion web pages which include more information about the images, places and vochos. Additionally, you can enter naming contests for Frida’s friends to win future coloring books in the Frida series. You will also see the original images, and can submit your colored pages to show off your work!

Frida’s friend should be named:________________

Frida’s dad is the one that has opposable thumbs, so he is the one that is responsible for this. Frida’s adopted parents live in Oaxaca de Juarez, Mexico, with Frida, her brothers Zach, Josh and El Tigre Macho de Noche.
Frida’s dad is also responsible for the original images, grammatical errors, including double spacing after periods, and ensuring Frida is well fed with High Octane vocho juice.
Frida’s dad does have a name, it is Trä Hitt. Trä is a photographer, writer, and all around nerd.

Frida’s dad with another vocho found at an obscure restaurant in Huatulco, Mexico. Frida knows about this and is ok with it…
Had I known I could grab colored pencils and create my own iconic scenes of Mexican life with a classic beetle, I may not have picked up that crazy UFO conspiracy habit along the way. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy today, because there are only so many foil hats to go around.

That’s it, Frida’s dad is out of words for the day. That is actually Frida over there, at the Benito Juarez National Park, glamming for the camera as the sun gets ready to set over the Etla Valley to the west.
So, do Frida a favor and pitch in to the High-Octane vocho juice fund by grabbing your coloring book today.

Oh, a blog too!

Frida sort of makes a jungle run. A story in multiple parts…literally. pt 1
After many weeks of quarantine, Frida Vochida insisted on getting out. As luck would have it, her parents were heading to the Pacific coast to a friends ranch in the jungle, so this was Frida’s big chance to be the biggest help she could be. The morning of Frida’s big...

Frida’s Visit to the Front Lines
Frida gets a checkup from the neck-up. Well, sorta. Thanks to a local who posted this mural, Frida and her dad had a mission. Frida was excited to go find it today. Luckily it was only about 15 minutes away from Frida’s house. The mural says “Primera Linea”, or Front...
Frida’s Funky Frappe Friend
Frida’s Funky Frappe Friend, #BonusPost today Frida LOVES to help. Yesterday, Frida helped by driving her dad to @cafebre to pick up a kilo of the good stuff, and by good stuff, of course I mean coffee, and hot chocolate, and a frappe. Anywho, Frida is always on the...
National Tequila Day
Happy #NationalTequilaDay USA! Frida is not saying that tequila consumption will keep covid-19 away, but…. She is not, not saying it either. Although she does say if you do experiment with the Covid-Tequila banashment cocktail, you do so at home and not before...
Frida loves her some Choco Mio
File this under "Frida Loves to Help". It is hard to help during the modified zombie apocalypse though. Frida does get to help at least every saturday by driving her mom and dad around town to get groceries. This is usually a multi-hour thing because Frida’s mom and...
Vochos in Mexico – 1954 Carrera Panamerican
Yesterday, we talked briefly about the Carrera Panamerican Road Race. That 4 stock vochos completed the race cannot be appreciated enough. Granted, they were the last cars to cross the finish line (#82, 83, 84 and 85), but with nearly half of the entrants (there were...
Vocho Roots in Mexico
The history of VW Type 1 Sedans in Mexico started in 1954, when Germany sent 4 VW’s to an international business symposium (2 VW Beetles, a beetle convertible, and a combi van). The president of Mexico even met the cars at the port of Veracruz, not really wanting to...
